McPherson Park features a playground, three pavilions, restrooms, drinking fountain, splashpad, Lyman Whitaker wind sculptures, open play areas, a hike and bike trail, a wildflower area, and the Rock House. The park occupies land that formerly housed one of the major dairy farms in Colleyville and showcases the history in its park amenities. A renovated dairy barn features photos and replicas of an actual milking operation. While the former Dunn/Tirk log barn, built in the late 1800’s, lets visitors peek into the past by raising the shutter openings on either of the barns two primary pens. This barn is one of the few existing log structures remaining in Tarrant County.

The Splash Pad at McPherson Park will open for the season on May 4 through October 12, operating daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Dates/times are subject to change. The Splash Pad provides a safe and enjoyable way for residents to cool off and make the most of the hot summer months, offering a refreshing spot for families to relax, play, and escape the Texas heat. The City of Colleyville maintains water quality and safety through a layered monitoring approach, including a system that automatically tracks chlorine levels 24/7 and adjusts as needed. In addition, City staff manually check levels twice daily—morning and afternoon, including weekends—and a third-party company conducts independent testing twice each week to ensure a clean, safe, and worry-free environment all season long.
