Tarrant County Public Health has notified the city of Colleyville, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, of a positive test result for West Nile Virus from a submitted mosquito sample. The sample was taken in the vicinity of 200 McDonwell School Road.

The test site will be treated with larvicide and is scheduled for continued treatment and testing. Crews will conduct localized, targeted spraying at the area this week using all-terrain vehicles and backpacks in open spaces and surrounding areas. No fogging will be conducted from trucks on city streets. Residents in proximity to the area to be sprayed will receive a door hanger notification prior to the start of fogging. Residents within a quarter-mile area of the sample area have been notified by CodeRED.
