Still seeing orange traffic cones along SH 26? The cones signal the start of Phase II of the SH 26 Beautification Project. This phase includes landscape and hardscape improvements to medians and rights-of-way (ROW). Large shade trees will be planted in the medians with ornamental trees being planted along the ROW. As work continues through the spring, orange cones will appear along the corridor where crews are working.

With this phase of the SH 26 project underway, focus turns to the last phase of the project — vertical design elements. The SH 26 project will be a community enhancement of lasting beauty welcoming visitors and residents to the city.
