Central Fire Station has been approved as an official vaccine distribution site and firefighters have been busy vaccinating Colleyville residents. Last week, the City received 100 Moderna vaccine doses and have administered those doses.
 

The priority for these vaccines were homebound seniors and other senior citizens within our community. Every single dose of the allotment was administered. This week, the Fire Department received 500 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. For these vaccines, Tarrant County sent the City a list of Colleyville residents that have registered with the County. We established a call center and scheduled appointments from the Tarrant County list to be administered next week.

The Colleyville vaccination site has been a well-run and efficient location. It has been an all-hands on deck approach to ensure the processes are in place to make it successful. The City continues to provide volunteers at the Hurst Conference Center vaccination location. Please register for the vaccine with Tarrant County if you have not done so already. You can register at tarrantcounty.com/covidshot. Group 1C, those 50-to-64-years-old, are now eligible to receive the vaccine. The City is requesting additional vaccines on an ongoing weekly basis. The Fire Department submits a request each week for all three brands of the vaccines.
