AARP Smart Driver Course

Improve driving skills and be more aware of other drivers to ensure greater safety on the road. This course may be used to qualify for insurance discounts based on your insurance carrier’s business decisions; however, it cannot be used for dismissal of a ticket. Preregistration and a current driver’s license are required. Pay fees at the time of class with cash or a check. All instructional materials and certificates of completion are provided at the end of class. Preregistration required.

Personal Safety and Defense Workshop

Delta Defense will be hosting three free community classes on topics related to personal safety,
situational awareness, self-defense, and knowledge of the law. These classes are strictly educational and contain no physical or live-action defense skills. They are designed to help seniors avoid being the victim of a violent crime, to know what their legal rights are when it comes to defending themselves, and what self-defense options are available to them. Register for the whole day or by individual session. Preregistration is required.

Hearing Screenings

We are excited to partner with Yes Hearing to provide complimentary hearing screenings, hearing aid cleanings and troubleshooting, ear checks for wax, and education about hearing and tinnitus. Hearing changes often happen gradually and can affect conversations, TV volume, and social
activities. This is a convenient, no- pressure opportunity to ask questions, build trust, and learn more about your hearing health. Appointments are required and can be made through the Senior Center.
